There are several different development platforms to choose from when getting started with embedded Linux. I get questions from students all the time about how to get hands-on experience with embedded systems and start developing an embedded Linux application of their own. I've created this course to address them all and hopefully provide a much better understanding about working with a popular and widely used embedded Linux development platform: the Beglebone Black.
This course demonstrates how to get setup with the Beaglebone Black (BBB) and start developing your own applications. There are 12 detailed video lectures in this course that will walk you step-by-step on how to setup and build embedded Linux applications with the BBB. The lectures cover some sample applications developed on the BBB platform including gathering weather information, capturing and streaming images from a USB camera to a remote computer and creating a real-time 3D animation of the platform's orientation in space.
Following through all the sections in this course, you will be able to build your own creative projects and applications on the Beaglebone Black platform.
